David G. Daniell

Originally from Byron, Georgia, Mr. Daniell is a cum laude graduate of Florida State University’s College of Law.  During law school, Mr. Daniell received the Book Award for excellence in Civil Rights and was a Blank-Miller Scholar. He was selected by the faculty as a Civil Procedure Tutor and worked as a legal extern for the Florida Attorney General’s Office in the General Civil Litigation Tort Division. After graduation, Mr. Daniell practiced law across south Florida in courtrooms from Tampa to Miami.  He began his career as an attorney with Associates and Bruce L. Scheiner, a Fort Myers, Florida, personal injury firm. Later, Mr. Daniell joined the Law Offices of Frederick C. Kramer, a general practice firm on Marco Island, Florida. His practice in Florida involved products liability cases, wrongful death, criminal law, civil rights, premises liability, general motor vehicle negligence, and family law while working in both State and Federal Courts.  Mr. Daniell handled cases which resulted in millions of dollars’ worth of settlements and awards for his clients. 

In 2006, Mr. Daniell returned home to middle Georgia where he continued to represent his Florida clientele, but focused his practice on criminal defense and serious personal injury. Mr. Daniell brings his hard fought south Florida experience at handling wrongful death, motorcycle accidents, and commercial vehicle accidents to benefit his middle Georgia clients.  He is a member of both the Georgia and Florida Bar Associations and the Georgia Association of Criminal Defense Lawyers. He is admitted to practice in the United States Federal Court, Middle District of Georgia, the United States Federal Court, Middle District of Florida, the Florida Supreme Court, and the Court of Appeals of Georgia. 

Mr. Daniell received his Masters Degree With Distinction in History from Georgia College and State University. He received his Bachelors Degree in History from Columbus State University, where he graduated Magna Cum Laude.

Jocelyn Powell Daniell


J.D., Mercer University, Walter F. George School of Law

M.Ed. in Adult Education, University of Georgia

B.A. in Political Science, University of Georgia, Cum Laude

Originally from Swainsboro, Georgia, Jocelyn Daniell earned her law degree from Mercer University’s School of Law. While at Mercer, Mrs. Daniell competed in a national moot court tournament in the Wagner Labor and Employment Law competition in New York. She was on the Dean’s List and received CALI awards for excellence in Employment Law, Advanced Legal Writing, and Appellate Practice and Procedure. She received the Faculty Award for Outstanding Achievement in Legal Writing, the Dean’s Distinguished Service Award, and the Walter F. George Public Service Scholarship. Mrs. Daniell served as President of the Legal Aid Volunteer Association, participated in Mercer’s Public Service Practicum while practicing under the Third Year Practice Act at the Houston County Public Defender’s Office, and  interned for Henry County’s State Court Judge Ben Studdard through Mercer’s Judicial Field Placement program.

As a law student and young attorney, Mrs. Daniell has worked in various agencies and firms throughout the state: the Equal Employment Opportunity Commission in Atlanta, Georgia; Bullard and Wangerin in Macon, Georgia; Georgia Legal Services, Macon Regional Office; and, the Ogeechee Circuit Public Defender’s Office in Statesboro, Georgia. It was while working as a public defender that Mrs. Daniell won her first jury trial. After marrying David G. Daniell, Mrs. Daniell moved to Houston County where she began practicing in the areas of family law, criminal defense, DUI, and estate and probate matters. She has been recognized each and every year by Georgia Legal Services for her contributions to the citizens of middle Georgia in need of legal services. Currently, Mrs. Daniell’s family law practice focuses on divorce and child custody issues, adoption, child support, legitimation, and visitation. She has also begun serving as a guardian ad litem for the Superior, Probate, and Juvenile courts when called upon.

Jocelyn Daniell is admitted to practice in the Georgia Court of Appeals and the Georgia Supreme Court. She has appeared in Superior, State, Municipal, Probate, Magistrate, and Juvenile courts across the state. Mrs. Daniell has represented clients in the following Georgia counties: Houston, Peach, Bibb, Crawford, Twiggs, Laurens, Pulaski, Dodge, Telfair, Bleckley, Upson, Jones, Washington, Butts, Bulloch, Jenkins, Screven, Effingham, Gilmer, and Cherokee.

Prior to her legal career, Mrs. Daniell graduated cum laude from the University of Georgia with a bachelor’s degree in Political Science. She went on to earn a Masters Degree in Adult Education before working as a Public Service Representative for the University of Georgia’s Cooperative Extension Service. She remains a lifetime member of both the Georgia Master 4-H Club and the Georgia 4-H Counselors Alumni Association.

Alexis M. Puryear

Alexis M. Puryear has lived in Warner Robins since her father transferred to Robins Air Force Base during her childhood. She graduated from Warner Robins High School and went on to earn her Bachelors Degree in Sport Management from Georgia Southern University. Ms. Puryear earned her Advanced Legal Assistant Technical Certificate of Credit from Middle Georgia Technical College in June 2009. She currently serves as Committee Chair for the Middle Georgia Technical College Paralegal Studies Advisory Committee. Ms. Puryear has worked for Daniell Law Firm, LLC since May 2009 and is a valuable asset to the firm.
